Based on the success of the theatre project last year – the outdoor
theatre in the Elphinstone Chapel will be back this year. The DARK SIDE OF THE
RAINBOW screening will make a return this year along with a new type of interactive
theatre MAKE YOUR OWN LASER FLOYD
A kind of spin on the Laser lightshows Planetariums put on – but with a twist – the
Lasers will be in the hands of and controlled by the audience - 30-50 Laser pointers
held by folks in all various stages of sobriety will create a random Chaotic dancing
grid in a video and fog filled environment to the music. The plan is to screen THE
WALL at Midnight on Friday Night and Follow up by the Dark Side of the Rainbow at
2:00 AM

THIS WILL BE THE FIRST THEATER IN HISTORY THAT YOU WILL BE *
ENCOURAGED* TO USE YOUR LASER POINTER IN – A COPOPERATIVE INTEACTIVE
ROCK OPERA.
The following Night SATURDAY the theater will become and interactive CO-
OPERATIVE music video game - not quite the same caliber as Dance Dance
Imoliation from the Playa. but with the Fog and Laser lightshow this will probably
be the most extreme ROCKBAND Anyone will play. A ps2 with ROCK BAND (Guitar,
Drum Kit, Karooke Mic)
will be set up allowing participants to play along solo or on
groups of 3 to pop , punk and classic metal music
Later in the evening the Theatre will be an open screening room for other video
artists to screen their own films – their own video art etc … I believe Erik Paulson
wanted to screen something.
Cirque Du Psycho VJ visuals– (moose lodge) A VJ set based on the circus/
Carnival Theme for the party in the Moose Lodge

Philosophical Statement

Ooonst Ooonst Ooonst ! The Burner community is crying out for
alternative music. We have the funny clothes - and we have sex and
drugs but somewhere along the way we forgot the rock and roll. This
promethian project takes the visual spectacle of the Rock opera back
to the people. Fuck the DJ on his pedestal – its time we took back the
music ….. We’re not gonna take it anymore! Schools out forever!
We can live out our rock fantasies without the lawsuits and STDs. We
can play with laser light and make it dance to the sights and sounds of
“Goodbye Blue Skies” or go on a virtual band tour belting out “Don’t
Fear the Reaper” with our cabin mates and our cowbells.
