UPDATES:
- The greeters station setup is looking good, we have shelter (my 10x20 carport), I've got a radio that I'll be leaving there, a power setup for some music, and I'm compiling an "Instructions Binder" for people arriving at a greeter shift, who may not know what they need to be doing.
- #Still needed for the station:
* a table and a couple of chairs - Can these be simply borrowed from the camp, perhaps from a lodge? Or do we need to bring our own?
* a small stereo system - I'm thinking along the lines of a small "ghetto blaster". As I said, I'll have power at the station (a battery with AC inverter), but I need something to plug into it... a CD player would work but ideally something with Aux input so that people can use their own iPods.

A schedule will be posted as soon as it becomes available here: GreetersSchedule, and Cabin Leads will be able to submit a request for a timeslot for your cabin to do it's greeting shift. Please submit your first, second and third choices for Greeting shifts based on the available timeslots. It will take time to update the schedule, so the current posted schedule may not reflect available slots with 100% accuracy.

As always, a big part of Recompression is your experience being welcomed to the event... and that starts from the moment you drive or walk up to the front gate.
Please note: All Theme Cabins will be expected to take on a greeting shift as a group. Your shift will require a minimum of four of your cabin members (although it's inifinitely more fun if your whole cabin comes out for it... ideally, brimming-over with your cabin's theme). Currently all greeting shifts needing to be filled will be filled will be occuring on Friday.

Upon arrival, you will encounter a host of friendly people (Greeters) ready to take your tickets, adorn you with a wristband, and have you sign your event waiver. They will also direct you as to where to try to park, and where to go next if you aren't already part of a Theme Cabin. They are a very excitable breed, known for their love of presents of all kinds, and their willingness to offer friendly spankings upon requests.

We need you to help at the gate this year - (yes, we're having a gate!) Be the smiling face or paddle people see when they arrive...
