Meeting consisted of Pod Leaders checking in from around the room, in no particular order.
THEME CABINS - Squishelle
* Theme cabins are in a state of flux right now.
* Awaiting the final numbers from Registration this evening.
* If someone asks, `How do I get into a cabin` they should be directed to the
* website for instructions at www.recompression.com and to go to the Theme Cabin
* page where it shows the themes for each cabin. Each cabin has a lead and their
* email is linked so the person can directly email the lead and find out if they
* have any beds left and if they are a good fit for their cabin.
* There are 2 quiet lodges + 1 cabin called Shhhh!ville
* Leads to update Squishelle ASAP with people in their cabin or lodge so she can
* update the Theme Cabin page and keep it current.
* Someone asked about a tent to sleep in - she was told it was a 50-50 chance of
* wet or dry and that she could probably cabin swap and sleep in another cabin
* during the day and all she needs to do is ask at a cabin that seems to be quiet
* during the day when she wants to sleep.
ART GRANTS - All Is On
* Deadline for submission to possibly get an art grant is 26 March 2008.
* Several people have already submitted their proposals and should have been notified either way by the 18th.
* Still room for more grants to be awarded to please get them submitted ASAP.
TICKETS - Dianamite
* NOW SOLD OUT.
# There were 240 sold before the meeting began.
# We have sold out at 300 tickets.
# There might be more money now available to help the 10-11 on the Low Income wait list but not sure. Dianamite will notify them if there is money available.
GROUND SAFETY - Stripey
* Need Caution tape - Vertumnus to provide 800m of tape that says "sausage" which will work fine.
* Hannibal to re-cut the shape of the stakes to make them easier to drive into the ground.
* Hannibal to provide Stripey with a piece of rebar to drive into the ground for starter holes for tiki torches.
* Torches to be provided by Dianamite whom holds them for BMV.
* Blue said he can provide 10 more tiki's if needed.
* Gove said he'd be transporting them up to Recomp for us in the transportation vehicle.
* James Deane has lots of Xmas lights we can use - he is coming and will bring lights.
* Fuel for tiki's will be purchased by Belva.
TRANSPORTATION- Uber
We have rented a vehicle to transport some items to & from Recompression.
Pick up's will be Wednesday before Recompression.
Please email TRANSPO@RECOMPRESSION.COM to arrange for your item(s) to be on the vehicle.
GREETERS - Yonderboy
* Shifts based on ferry arrivals.
* 1 hour 15 minute shifts.
* 8 shifts on Friday.
* The greeters could really use a battery powered radio/CD player for music while sitting up there.
* Please have your cabin sign up for a shift as it was really great last year when campers were greeted by a whole cabin.
SOUND -

* Talent Show will be different this year - it will be a continuous event throughout the weekend in The Moose Lodge on both nights so that everyone can see some one perform.
* There will be a call-out for talent.
* Please let Squishelle know when you will be performing so she can put in on the schedule.
THE BURN/THE MAN - Hannibal
* Hitoshi is helping design The Man again which will be a lantern this year.
* The Man will be illuminated on Friday.
* Burned on Saturday night @ 10pm.
* He will be moved to a new location closer to the Moose Lodge.
* He will be in the beachy area where it will be low tide.
* Timing is essential this year as the tide comes in and if we are not ready, He won't get to burn.
* He will be pre-built but assembled on site.
* Some neat stuff inside him to make him burn all fancy this year.
RANGERS - Uber
* If you want to do a shift, email RANGERS@RECOMPRESSION.COM
* You must attend a meeting the day of your shift.
* Meetings are on Friday and Saturday @ 6pm at Ranger HQ.
* Rangers, Peer Support & Medical MUST attend the meeting.
MOOSE LODGE - Noam, Louise (& ediebabe)
* If you want to make a smaller attraction tent inside the Moose Lodge, email the pod - MOOSELODGE@RECOMPRESSION.COM
* The over-all theme is a Carnival theme.
* Decorations outside and inside.
* They have done a call out to specific people already and have things moving right along.
PEER SUPPORT - Bonnie
* Needs volunteers
* Especially the over-night shifts
* 2 hours at a time for the shifts
FIRE - Belva
* Buying fuel for fire & tiki torches.
* Heading up the fire show before the Burn.
* Working with Disaster Area.
* Has a lot of people whom want to perform.
* Must keep to tide schedule for the burn to happen on time - show starts @ 9pm in Dining Hall,9:30pm on to the field, 10pm the man must burn or the tide will come in and we will get wet.
* Needs drummers: Stas to organize the drummers & coordinate with Belva.
OPENING CIRCLE - All Is On
* Starting in dining hall at 9pm then moving outside.
* Dianamite will look for candles from last year for everyone to hold this year on the field.
HEALING CENTRE - Zobeewa
* Would like to hold massages in Castle.
* Need wood in there to maintain the fire/keep it warm.
* Massage-Ma-Hall prefers not to be in dining hall and we need a new location for that because with 300 people, there is no extra room for anything in dining hall.
RECOMPLEASURE DOME - Blue
* 50' x 25' 1/2 dome w/extension piece and hot tub
* 5 - 6 couches
* DJ booth - down-tempo music
* area w/massage tables - maybe Zobeewa can hold Massage-Ma-Hall in there???
* hot tub needs power to be heated - ONLY PLACE FOR 220 POWER IS NEXT TO DINING HALL
* no shoes inside Dome
* astroturf inside
* will try to achieve comfortable naked temperature
* showers inside to rinse off oils & lotions from massages
* extra towels to be provided by Hannibal and Blue
MEALS - Megatron & Aquarius
* New chef whom is giving suggestions for vegetarians & gluten-free meals which will be only in the kitchen and those whom signed up for a special meal must bring a plate to kitchen.
* Please do NOT go to kitchen for different meal if you did not sign up for one.
* Will be putting up a quick poll for meal suggestions and days.
