Okay so I've received a LOT of pre-signups for the Talent Show which is great! There's going to be lots of awesome stuff happening this year!!
Here's the lowdown so far:
The Talent Show (and a couple of untalented acts) will be running from 8:30-10pm on Friday.
There is no longer any sign ups, and there will not be any sign ups on site, unless someone decides not to show up for their slot.
Sorry for all the confusion with start times and no more on the spot sign ups.
Our MC for the evening will also be Mystress Fyre, to add to our wonderful show.

If you have something you want to share, a song, a skit, interpretative dance, do something neat, then you are welcome to apply! Send all applications to talentshow@recompression.com and please put "Talent Show" in the subject line.
The UNtalent show is meant to provide those who wish they were good at performing a place to...get booed off stage and feel the support an audience brings! Maybe you didn't make it past the first round of Canadian Idol. It's okay, because we still love you! Send all applications to talentshow@recompression.com and please put "UNtalent Show" in the subject line.
Both shows will be limited to 3 minutes per performance/group/act. If you want to perform in BOTH shows, please send separate emails.

Deadline for applications is Mar 20
If you don't make the deadline, there will be a sign up sheet available the day/night of. The deadline was to gauge interest to set aside an appropriate block of time for it.
Oh and the theme this year is Down the Rabbit Hole, if that influences your performance at all.

Things are moving around a little this year! Carnival is the theme for the Moose Lodge and along with this theme, we are going to be introducing shows all weekend long!
What this means to you: you get to perform at intervals and in between the musical entertainers at the Moose Lodge, with a captive audience!
part 1: Friday Night talent show (9pm to 10pm) where acts are limited to 3min and everybody is welcome to strut their stuff.
We want to hear your poetry or spoken word, see your magic trick, hear you sing a song, tell a joke, do some backflips, whatever you can do in 3min to share your awesome self with us!
part 2: perform at intervals and in between the musical entertainers throughout the weekend at The Big Top, with a captive audience!
If your talent takes more than 3min, then this is for you! Are you a performer with an act that you can share with us, a set list of a few songs, a sideshow act, a play, whatever! Sets will be 15min long. To participate in either the 1h talent show on Friday night or during the weekend in between DJ's, please email talentshow@recompression.com. Tell us a bit about your talent and tech requirements so we can schedule you and please state which option you would prefer (3min or 15min). Thanks!
