Ahah! Lookee! I'm typing! that means I'm updating the Burn Pod with all the wonderful things we're going to do this year for the Burn Ceremony, and the Man of Elphinstone! As always, we're changing things up again this year, bringing ceremony and fire together! The Man this year will be illuminated Friday night, (No, this is NOT any reference to the Man burning early, really!), and then moved to its final burn location Saturday Night. Camp Elphinstone has made some major improvements, allowing us a much more interesting viewing area for Saturday night, and we will use it to its fullest, in conjunction with the fire dancers and Disaster Area providing additional flame effects. If you're interested in helping the team assemble the Man prior to the event on the beach (teotb) then drop us a line at Burn@recompression.com. If you're interested in the fire ceremony, talk to Belva at fire@recompression.com, and if you really want to be involved with the Fire display put on by Disaster Area, then check out www.disasterarea.tempco.org.
