Yes indeedy, we’re working at creating a lovely program for this year! But we need to fill it with all of your awesome information!

We’ll be including the usual schedule, map, workshops, main events, but we want MORE... This is how you can tell everyone that’s gonna be there what your project is, what your cabin is doing, when that special event is taking place, what your art project is all about, etc. Kinda like our own What-Where-When guide!

Submissions MUST be received NO LATER than 8pm on Thursday March 27th by email at program@recompression.com.

Ok, so, if you haven’t yet thought about where you’re gonna lay your head at Recompression, you have 2 choices:

1. don’t do anything & just wait & see what beds are still open when you get there.. yep go with the flow, baby… it’s all good.
2. check the themecabin page & email a lead to join their cabin/lodge, including the spare lodge aka LODGE 4: I've been to the desert in a lodge with no name

If you’re already in a themecabin, please make sure the info, description & activities listed on the themecabin page are accurate for you & the cabin.

Now why would you want to do all of this?
Because we will be publishing a listing of all the cabins/lodges & who’s in each one. That way, people can find you, know what's happening in your cabin & hey, you get to see your name in print! Cool, eh?

)'( )'( )'( Arts Grant deadline: Wed March 26 )'( )'( )'(

You have likely been impressed and inspired by the art, sculpture and installations at various festivals. We are encouraging you to create art of your own for many enthusiastic people to admire and interact with! We are here to endorse your ideas by offering ART GRANTS to SUPPORT YOU IN IMPLEMENTING YOUR CREATIVE VISION of whatever scale. The Greater Vancouver Interactive Arts Society (GVIAS) has been established and will focus on the funding of community art for our regional events. Yes, art grants, to help you make it happen!
Read all the necessary info on the Art Grant Pod page.

)'( )'( )'( Workshops Deadline extended )'( )'( )'(

Thought you'd missed your shot to share your knowledge, talents, and skills with your community?
Well here's your last chance! I am pleased to announce that due to some unforeseeable behind the scenes happenings the deadline for submitting workshops has been extended to Thursday March 27th! So please don't delay getting your requests in. Miss Naughty Kitten is most looking forward to working with you to make your workshop vision happen!!! Check it all out on the workshops page.

)'( )'( )'( Volunteer Shout outs )'( )'( )'(

Thanks to all of you fabulous peeps who have indicated that you want to volunteer at Recompression!

You will most likely be contacted directly by the Volunteer Pod leads, but in any case, you all should be aware that all the existing needs are being posted under the Participate section of the website, so that’s where you should go to get the latest info.

Read: instead of bogging down your inbox with ALL the details, we are empowering YOU to be radically self reliant and going to read the info on the site!

Also, there will be a volunteers table in Center Camp, so whether you signed up in advance or not, each & every participant will be expected to check out the Volunteer table & see where they can help make Recompression 2008 a smashing success!
